Boyfriend came over to meet me and one of our skydiving friends, Colin, for lunch today. We chose to go to Bamboo Garden because frankly, the food there is very inexpensive. For $6.99-$8.99, you get tea, soup, rice, your chosen entrée, and a fortune cookie. Today, I tried the Imperial Prawns, Boyfriend ordered the Mongolian Beef, and Colin ordered the Crispy Sesame Chicken.
The food was out, and piping hot, in a blink. A few of the lunch specials I’ve tried have been bland and/or over cooked, but I really enjoyed the Imperial Prawns. The portions at Bamboo Garden are large enough that I always box up half of my meal before I begin to eat. Although the service isn’t overtly attentive, we still never had to wait long for more water, any other requested item, or a to-go box. Even better, the bill came to less than $25 with tax for all three of us.
